Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week during 27.10.2025 to 02.11.2025

The Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) was observed at ICAR-NATIONAL BUREAU OF ANIMAL GENETIC RESOURCES (NBAGR), Karnal during 27.10.2025 to 02.11.2025. Various activities were conducted by institute Vigilance Cell to promote transparency and integrity in public governance. A brief description on various activities organized to celebrate VAW-2025:

  The staff of ICAR-NBAGR including students, researchers and contractual staff was administered Integrity Pledge on 27.10.2025 at 11:00 AM by Dr NH Mohan Director, ICAR-NBAGR, Karnal. 

  Several banners and posters related to Vigilance Awareness Week,and this year theme; Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” (सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी) to be celebrated from 27.10.25 to 02.11.25 was displayed at the main entrance of the campus as well as office premises and PG Nair Hallof the institute. A separate banner related to 3 months campaign on preventive vigilance (18 August-17 November, 2025) was also kept on the main entrance of office premises for creating vigilance awareness amongst the staff, researchers, students and contractual staff as well as visitors.

  As part of Vigilance Awareness Week-2025, a poster competition was held on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” (सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी) on 29.10.2025. The event received enthusiastic participation from the staff, students as well as young researchers. All the posters were displayed on the central lawn of the institute and three posters were selected for the awards.

  Similarly, a slogan competition was also organized on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week-2025in the institute central lawn on 29.10.2025.This event also witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff, students as well as young researchers. More than 15 slogans were displayed and three slogans were selected for the wards for the creative contributions.

  Vigilance cell also organized a special talk on “Administration and Vigilance Matters” by Sh. J. K. Kewalramani, Former Joint Director (Administration) & Registrar, ICAR–NDRI, Karnalon 29.10.2025. The session was attended by scientists, staff members, contractual staff, students, RA, YPs etc.

   Vigilance cell has encouraged the staff members of the institute to complete the following two online courses available on the iGOT platform:

      Preventive Vigilance: This course provides a comprehensive exploration of vigilance administration, emphasizing preventive strategies to combat corruption and maintain organizational integrity: By RAKNPA.

        Cyber Vigilance: What Every Digital Citizen Must Know: By National E-Governance Division (NEGD) MeitY Govt of India.

  Many employees of the Institute have successfully completed the above-mentioned courses on the iGOT platform.

As a part of vigilance campaign period and capacity building, a special talk by Sh. Hareesh Nair, Legal Advisor, ICAR, New Delhi related to vigilance matters, transparency, and integrity frompublic servants was organized on 06.11.2025 at PG Nair Hall of the institute. He shared his valuable insights and experiences on effective administrative practices and vigilance awareness. The talk by ICAR, legal advisor was attended by scientists, staff members, contractual staff, students, RA, YPs etc.
