New 16 livestock and poultry breeds Gazette notified.

Recently registered 16 animal breeds including 13 indigenous and 3 synthetic breeds has been officially notified by Government of India in the Gazette of India. It is a significant milestone and a proud moment for the Animal Science Division and ICAR. It will strengthen breed conservation, enhance sustainable AnGR management and promote further research in the livestock sector for enhancing farmer income, livelihood and nutritional security.
